Análise estatÃstica de fatores de visibilidade dos periódicos cientÃficos brasileiros indexados na Web of Science e Scopus

Abstract
Presents results and analysis designed to statistically analyze factors that contribute to the visibility of the scientific journals in Brazil indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus. The objectives are: To describe the results obtained by the journals in the bibliometric indicators Scimago Journal Rank (SJR), h-index, total citations and the bibliographic production indicated by the titles; to report aspects of the profile of journals (publishing entity, area of knowledge and languages accepted for publication); and relate the bibliometric indicators with the profile aspects addressed. The R software was used as a tool for data analysis. The median of values exhibit strong correlations (from 0.79) among the factors h-index, SRJ, total citations and documents. The language most widely accepted for publication is English. The monthly frequency is the one with the best results. The h average rate is 8.28 with a range between 0 and 56. The average SJR is 0.24 with dangling 0 to 0.92. The average total 130.6 quote is moving from 0 to 1415. The average for the total of documents is 74.2, and those from 0 to 421.
