Análisis Del Potencial Turístico De La Provincia De Los Ríos, Ecuador Analysis of The Tourist Potential of The Province of Los Ríos, Ecuador

Abstract

This research was carried out in the province of Los Ríos in zone 5 of Ecuador in order to determine the tourist potential of the study area based on the analysis of the existing documentation for which the analysis of the normative legal framework with tools As the COOTAD that establish the road map of the constitution of Ecuador of 2008 through the establishment of the competition for tourism promotion that have the Provincial GADs from the Rectory, Planning, Regulation Control and Management at this level of government, also the situational diagnosis was established where it is determined that the current province of Los Ríos has an approximate extension of 7.256 km2, and limits to the north with Pichincha, to the south and the west with Guayas, and to the east with Bolivar and Cotopaxi, has a Population of approximately 778,115 inhabitants, the provincial political division from thirteen cantons and seventeen parishes with the capital Babahoyo canton and the determination of tourist potential from the analysis of the application of five of the eleven tourism product lines and ten of the Twenty-eight varieties of specific products of Ecuador and important tourist attractions such as Cerro Cachan, the main House of Hacienda Virginia, Chilintomo Square, Estero de Dima, Hacienda Chorrera, Hacienda Tejar, Barreiro Parish and the City of Vinces with potential to develop agrotourism, cultural tourism, ecotourism and natural tourism. Finally, it was recommended to establish a management model for the development of agrotourism in the province of Los Ríos, based on the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Province of Los Ríos, in order to strengthen this tourism product line and its varieties.
