Analiza Stabilităţii Macroeconomice folosind Indicatorul “Output Gap”

Abstract
Articolul are scopul de a prezenta importanţa indicatorului “output gap” în analiza stabilităţii macroeconomice în general şi a dinamicii ciclurilor economice în particular. Au fost selectate zece ţări din UE, cinci membri vechi şi cinci membri noi. Pentru toate cele zece ţări s-au folosit date pentru perioada 1999-2014. Pentru patru ţări, respectiv Franţa, Marea Britanie, Italia şi Spania sunt disponibile date suplimentare care încep din 1965, fiind acoperită întrega perioadă 1965-2014, ceea ce permit o analiză particulară. Este efectuată o analiză empirică referitor la comportamentul indicatorului “output gap” pentru ţări diferite de-a lungul timpului. Rezultatele obţinute permit comparaţii relevante şi subliniază utilitatea indicatorului ca instrument în studiul ciclurilor economice.
