Abstract
The article discusses the processes for settling claims used in the structures of insurance companies. A comparison of conventional claims handling process to the alternative methods. Analysis of the factors which determine the choice of specific methods as cost, time and quality of liquidation. Particular attention was paid to the liquidation of the technical area, because in this space comes the most dynamic changes implemented innovations and process optimization at the same time it is a very sensitive area in terms of brand image in the activities of the Insurance Company.
