Abstract
The article presents an analysis of statistical data on the use of vehicles with alternative propulsion in road transport. Statistical data have been compared with the European Union's forecasts and assumptions for the use of alternatives in transport till 2050. Analyzes allowed to assess the extent to which the assumptions of the European Union on the issue of sustainable transport in the use of vehicles with the alternative drives to the implementation of transport, with a special emphasis on the trends occurring in the transport of both the individual and the public.
