Analysis of composite leaf spring enhanced with nanoparticles
Journal Title: Carbon - Science and Technology - Year 2015, Vol 7, Issue 4
Abstract
Weight reduction is now the main issue in automobile industries. In this work due to reduce the weight of steel spring with composite leaf spring due to high strength ratio is need to improve. The main aim is to compare to the load carrying capacity, stiffness and weight savings of composite leaf spring with that of steel leaf spring at rated-load and over-load condition. The analysis has been carried out for the leaf spring made up of steel and Composite materials. Composite specimens are fabricated with two different staking sequences like the (resin with clay and enhanced with Nanoparticles). The thickness and width for constant cross section is maintained on the moulding techniques. The design of multi leaf spring was modeled in PRO-E and imported in ANSYS 14.5.the dimensions of an existing multi leaf spring is taken for modeling and analysis of a laminated composite multi leaf spring with different composite sequence materials subjected to the same load as that of steel spring.

Is vacuum annealing converts p-type single wall carbon nanotube field effect transistor (in air) to n-type (in vacuum) is universially true (?)
Our study on nickel silicide and gold contacted single-wall-carbon-nanotube field effect transistors (SWCN-FETs) is in sharp contrast to earlier published reports of type conversion in SWCN-FETs (from p- to n-) when cycl...
Adsorption of Remazol Black B dye on activated carbon felt
The adsorption of Remazol Black B (anionic dye) on a microporous activated carbon felt is investigated from its aqueous solution. The surface chemistry of activated carbon is studied using X-ray microanalysis, "Boehm" t...

A novel approach for the in-situ fabrication of combined cobalt oxide / sulphide nanoparticles in sulphur containing polymer polyphenylenesulphide (PPS) by polymer inorganic solid-solid reaction technique is reported her...
Study of cutting forces in machining of magnesium composite by response surface methodology
Metal Matrix composites (MMCs) has many excellent engineering properties like good strength to weight ratio, stiffness and increased wear resistance etc., These properties are the main requirements in aerospace, automoti...
Experimental studies on improving the performance of electrochemical machining of high carbon, high chromium die steel using jet patterns
Electrochemical machining (ECM) is a non-traditional process used mainly to cut hard or difficult-to-cut metals, where the application of a more traditional process is not convenient. Stiff market competition and ever-gr...
