ANALYSIS OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF SUGAR INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES

Abstract
Issues of innovative development of the domestic agricultural sector, including sugar industry is strategically important under globalization and integration of Ukraine into the global economy. However, most sugar plants do not have such capability because of complex reasons. Overcoming the financial crisis and the revival of Ukrainian sugar competitiveness in the global market has become one of the major problems of country, whose solution is essential, not only economic and social but also political significance. One of the main vectors of movement in this direction is an innovative development of sugar industry. The use of energy- saving technologies and production of modern high technology, plant protection products are particular important nowadays. The aim of the paper is to analyze the main indicators of innovation activity of sugar industry enterprises and to conduct practical recommendations to improve the performance of their work on an innovative basis.The economic assessment is made as to various schemes of processing sugar beets for sugar and ethanol production for maximization of economic benefit. The evidence reveals importance of sugar and ethanol producrion combination in terms of the sugar enterprises to provide their socio-economic activity stabilization.
