ANALYSIS OF MODERN APPROACHES TO DIAGNOSTICS, TREATMENT, AND PREVENTION OF ACUTE ADHESIVE INTESTINAL OBSTRUCTION IN CHILDREN

Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2025, Vol 4, Issue 5

Abstract

This article examines modern approaches to diagnosing, treating, and preventing acute adhesive intestinal obstruction (AAIO) in children. AAIO is a serious surgical condition that occurs due to the formation of adhesions in the abdominal cavity, resulting in impaired intestinal passage. The authors analyze the key etiological factors, mechanisms of development, and classification of AAIO, as well as modern diagnostic methods, including multislice computed tomography, ultrasound examinations, and laboratory markers of ischemia. Innovative surgical techniques, particularly laparoscopic adhesiolysis and the application of anti-adhesion barriers, are examined. Special attention is given to preventing recurrence, including minimally invasive technologies, pharmacological strategies, and personalized methods based on genetic testing. The importance of a comprehensive approach is emphasized, incorporating educational programs for parents and telemedicine monitoring, which contributes to the early detection of complications and a reduction in mortality rates among children.
