Abstract
Introduction: Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic degenerative disorder that is characterized by a loss of articular cartilage, in the synovial joints which is characterized by sclerosis subchondral bone thickening, marginal osteochondral outgrowths (osteophytes). Several risk factors have been identified, such as obesity, occupation, higher age, biomechanics and increased dynamic loading of the joint and joint injury, and invoves the weight bearing joints like hip and knee joint Methodology: The sample size studied was 32 patients of which 16 patients in each group. The patients were selected after going through the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The patients were examined clinically regarding VAS score KOOS score and WOMAC score recorded each patient was investigated by routine blood tests investigation X ray, MRI Results: The group 1 had baseline pain score of mean 9.38 with (SD±2.187) and in group 2 had baseline pain score of mean 9.13 (SD±1.586). Both groups were comparable and were statistically significant with p value of 0.571. At final follow up, WOMAC score of group 1 had mean 1.25 (SD±0.557) and group 2 had mean of 1.00 (SD±0.00), It was not significant (p= 0.74). Conclusion: A trend towards gradual and progressive decline of the VAS is noted in the patients over the period of three follow ups from the baseline score

Osteochondroma of lateral clavicle: A rare case report
Osteochondromas arising from the clavicle are extremely rare and symptomatic cases are even less common. We report a case of large solitary osteochondroma of lateral end clavicle in a 18 year old male. Range of motion of...
RCT comparing closed reduction and percutaneous versus open reduction and volar locking plate in treatment of distal radius fractures in adults
Introduction: Displaced distal radius fractures are very common injuries and present regularly to all orthopaedic surgeons. Several documented treatment modalities for these fractures have been described with a recent tr...
Treatment of displaced lateral clavicular fractures with hook plate, a retrospective review
Fractures of the clavicle have been treated historically by conservative means. However lateral end fractures of clavicle are known to be unstable due to injury to the coracoclavicular ligaments. Hook plate has been used...
Outcome of distal tibia fractures treated with tibial linterlocking nail and minimal invasive plating: A prospective study
Introduction: The best modality of management of distal tibial fractures (extra articular) remains controversial and challenging. Various studies have shown varying results with different modalities of treatment, however...
A rare case report-cervicotrochanteric fracture of femur in child
Paediatric femoral neck fracture is a very rare condition. The treatment of most hip fractures in children consist of closed or open reduction and internal fixation. Inspite of so many treatment options the rate of pedia...
