Analysis of Practiced as Sufis Self-Conversion Training Zikr Ritual in Term of Perspective of Cognitive Psychology

Abstract
In this study, the ritual of Zikr applied by sufis flas investigated in terms of perspecti٧e of cognitive psychoJogical findings. There is a mutual re٠ationship between zikr and cognitive abilities. Diffe-٢ent cognitive abilities activates to be consecutive from begining to the end of zikr In cont٢ast. ttle mettiods used in zikr increases the performance of cognitive abilities. Religious information acquires depending on ttle religious perception of internal origin in zikr ritüal. When viewed from outside, zikr seems like monotonous structure consisting of a repetition of certain religious words but zikr is dynamic source of informations causing changes and transformations in the religious's inner word. Zikr is not only conscious but also affects unconscious. Against positive effects. illu-sions can be seen in zikr. Therefore, regular zikr practice should be controlled by the supervision of an experienced zikr ritual person.
