Analysis of Principles of Determining Hydrological Characteristics for the Design Cross-Section of the Hydropower Plant
Journal Title: International Journal of Engineering and Science Invention - Year 2018, Vol 7, Issue 4
Abstract
The article reviews the problems associated with the principles of determining hydrological characteristics for the cross-section of water intake structures of Hydropower Plant (HPP) projects in Georgia. The case study of the projects was to determine the causes of a discrepancies between the actual values and the design values of the HPP parameters (Design Flow, Installed Capacity, Installed Capacity Factor, Average Annual Energy Production) of already implemented new HPP projects. Due to these discrepancies, the Payback Period of the project increases, the actual value of the Installed Capacity Factor (ICF) is less than its design value. Studies of existing projects have shown that the reason for this are those mistakes that were made in determining the main hydrological characteristics of the river for the project cross-section of the HPP.

Effect of Intensifying Stocking Densities and Proper Feed Management Techniques on Production of Clarias Gariepinus (Burchell, 1822) In Earthen Ponds in Nigeria.
Clarias gariepinus was cultured in earthen ponds at three very high stocking densities- 27, 45, and 90 fingerlings/m2 in replicates and fed with both commercial (CF) and formulated feed (FF). After eight weeks, fish fed...
The Effects of Ferrochrome on Polystyrene (PS) Melt Flow Indices and Density
In the present study, changes in density and melt flow index of Polystyrene (PS) based on its ferrochromium content were investigated. The ferrochrome material was mixed into Polystyrene (PS) in different proportions (10...
