АNALYSIS OF THE MOTOR TRANSPORT SERVICES MARKET IN UKRAINE

Abstract
Problem. The study of theoretical and methodological aspects of the development of service markets and the mechanisms for their management in a globalized economy is becoming more and more relevant. This is especially true for the development of the transport services market by creating conditions for attracting transit cargo flows into the country, expanding the geography of transportation and conducting a coherent transport policy with neighboring countries. Goal. The purpose of the study is to examine the theoretical and methodolog-ical aspects of the development of the market of mo-tor transport services, a comprehensive analysis of the freight transport market in Ukraine, and the def-inition of the place of motor transport in it. Meth-odology. Theoretical and methodological basis of the research is the work of domestic and foreign researchers on the problems of the development of the transport services market. In the process of research general scientific methods were used, in particular: analytical, statistical, scientific abstraction, generalization and comparison. Results. The market of motor transport services is a specific market, which is a system of socioeconomic relations in all sectors of the country's economy, in which like other social institutions, organizations form rules that restrict or create new opportunities for their interac-tion. Its structure is influenced by three groups of factors associated with globalization trends and inter-and intra-economic factors of economic devel-opment. It is determined that the freight transport market is close to the oligopolistic, where railway transport is a key element. However, the analysis showed that it is assorted and can be segmented by allocating transport at different distances (small, medium, distant). Originality. Conclusions about the segmentation of the freight market by allocating transportations at different distances (small, medi-um, distant) give an opportunity to evaluate the con-tribution of each type of transport in the transporta-tion of goods more clearly. Practical value. The practical content is determined by the fact that the theoretical and methodological provisions, conclu-sions and recommendations form the scientific basis for the development of a new integrated concept of the development of motor transport in the country.
