Analysis of the Performance Coefficient of the Energetical Recovery of the Domestic Waste
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2017, Vol 40, Issue 2
Abstract
The paper critically analyses the way of defining the coefficient of performance of the systems used for the recovery of the energy of the domestic waste in cogeneration plants. The R1 criterion of performance of the European Waste Framework Directive (2008/98/EC) is taken as a basis for the discussion. The philosophy of establishing the form of the coefficient of performance depending on the definition of the system “Product” and “Fuel” is discussed. It is pointed out the fact that the performance criterion R1 is established on an energetic basis that makes it insensitive to climacteric changes. To take into account the interaction of the system with the environment in which it operates, the paper aims at defining a coefficient of performance based on the exergy concept that would make evidence of both the quantity and quality of the processed energies.

Study of Tribocorrosion Processes by Electrochemical Techniques
Tribocorrosion is defined as the chemical-electrochemical-mechanical process leading to a degradation of materials in sliding, rolling or erosion contacts immersed in a corrosive environment. That degradation results fro...
Comparative Corrosion Behavior of Pure Copper and Brass in 3.5% NaCl Solution
Copper and brass are used in many economic sectors as electrical, construction, transport and others. From common household electrical wiring to boat propellers and from photovoltaic cells to saxophones, copper and its a...
Fabrication of Ultrafine Low Carbon Metallic Multilayer by Accumulative Roll Bonding
The effect of grain refinements by Accumulative Roll Bonding (ARB) was investigated on low carbon steel. Optical microscopy (OM) and microhardness tests were used to check the phase changes and hardness before and after...
Vibrations and Torque Monitoring Processes for a Cold Rolling Mills
This paper presents researches made on a system of monitoring and other parallel systems for diagnose used in a cold rolling mill. The first system (with specific measurement sensors) is an online vibration monitoring sy...
Mechanical Properties and Abrasive Wear Behavior of Fluidized-Bed Carburized Sintered Iron Alloys
This paper is a study of the influence of fluidized bed carburizing of sintered steels on the mechanical properties and the abrasive wear behavior for two different types of powder. Carburizing was carried out at a tempe...
