ANALYSIS OF THE RADIOGRAPHIC PARAMETERS DESCRIBING THE SAGITTAL SPINOPEL- VIC ALIGNMENT. CURRENT CONCEPTS AND APPLICATION IN CLINICAL PRACTICE

Abstract

SUMMARy The complex alignment of the human spine and pelvis may be assessed quantitatively on the radiographs. The magnitude of the reciprocal physiological curvatures can by objectively measured. The purpose of the study was to present the current concepts regarding the methods of the assessment of the radiographic sagittal spinopelvic alignment. The mean values of the particular parameters are presented for normal population as well as for spinal pathologies. Clinical application of these radiographic parameters is also discussed in this study from the practical point of view.
