Analysis of the relative importance of the Algerian tourism sector

Abstract
The tourism sector is a more important economic sector in many countries, it is considered a major source of foreign exchange and an influential factor in stimulating investment and creating new job opportunities and contributing gross domestic product and the balance of payments, In this research, we will try to diagnose the development of the Algerian tourism sector and its contribution to the national economy, through the presentation of the evolution of this contribution in the period 2000-2012 for certain variables and the gross domestic product, investment and employment and the balance of payments, then we will try to clarify the relative position of the tourism sector compared to other economic sectors with an analysis of the structure of tourism demand, domestic and international,
