Analysis of the variability in investment funds returns in Poland

Abstract
The aim of the study is to determine how the open-ended funds results reflect asset prices changes in capital and money market in Poland. The analysis was carried out for equity open investment funds. The study shows that the impact of market benchmark rates of return on investment funds are statistically significant and growing in the period of stock market downturns. The article consists of four chapters. In the first and second chapter charac-terizes the investment fund market in Poland and measures of efficiency of in-vestment. The following presents the using method and the description of the data. The last chapter presents the results of research, including correlation analysis, model estimates of the impact of market variables on the FIO results and conclusions.
