ANALYSIS THE MARKET OF INTERNET PURCHASE IN THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

Abstract

In the direction of globalization of the economy, e-commerce becomes one of the necessary components in creating the business strategy of the companies themselves. The integration of information and communication technology in the business can be said that elevate to a higher level the relations within the organization and between different organizations, but also with the customer relations. When it comes to consumers, they are the most important link without which e-commerce would not exist. E-commerce exists for consumers to make the products more accessible and at the same time to reduce the time needed to arrive at the site, to review the product and to purchase it. In Macedonia, online shopping is getting more and more popular. For the development of the internet purchase, the banks started issuing cards that allowed payment via the Internet and to serve accounts of domestic Internet traders, adopted a legal framework for internet commerce, and due to the reduced number of frauds, i.e. transactions made with false or forged cards, the number of not only domestic internet shops, but also foreign online stores that allow sale in the Republic of Macedonia has increased. This paper analyzes the market for internet purchasing in the Republic of Macedonia by analyzing the number of registered virtual sales points in certain years, analyzing the offer from domestic online merchants, analyzing what Macedonian citizens most often buy online, as well as the value of transactions made with cards issued by domestic banks. The conclusion include the progress of the internet purchase in the analyzed period.
