Abstract
Problems of regional development is a topic which refers to different sections of society especially in the context of regional disparities and poses as one of the most serious problems not only in Slovakia but also in the wider European context. The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the status and trends of regional disparities in the districts of Trnava county in the years 2001 – 2010 via registered unemployment rate and foreign direct investments. Gini coefficient, coefficient of variation and point method have been applied in the analysis of regional disparities
