Some of Anar’s works who is successful in the genres such as novel, play, scenario, and review alongside with story have been adapted to Turkey Turkish as well. This paper tried to find out Anar’s long story “Hotel Room” that was adapted to Turkey Turkish with the name Sıraselviler’de Bir Otel Odası in terms of intertextuality connections. Intertextuality that is known as one of basic narration methods of post-modern literature was applied by the writers in the previous literary movements as well. To put it simply, intertextuality means connection that is built with another text or texts inside a text. In the beginning of the study, the emergence, definition of the concept, techniques and forms of building connections between texts were focused on. While classifying the texts that were used in the analysed story, with mainlines we intended to determine the sources from which the writer was influenced, by specifying the hero’s features, analysing and assessing the text’s meaning. During the study it was found out that the story “Hotel Room” is rather rich in terms of intertextual connections. It was observed that intertextual connections built in the story with the poem “Hotel Rooms” by Necip Fazıl to begin with, as well as works of other writers and poets of Turkish literature, and literary and musical texts that belong to the literatures of Azerbaijan, Russia and other world countries. It was noted that in the story “Hotel Room” citation and reference methods of intertextuality technique were generally applied and these were performed in an open manner.
