Android OS: A Review

Abstract
Due to the technological development, mobile terminals have evolved into functionally sophisticated devices such as smartphones and tablets. The Android platform has become one of the most popular operating system with millions of new users each year. Despite many studies, none have provided a comprehensive description of this operating system. In this paper we present a review of the Android OS. We describe the platforms history including improvements involved in each release as well as the systems architecture and project structure.
