ANN-Based Approach for Fault Detection in GIS
Journal Title: International Journal of Engineering Sciences & Research Technology - Year 30, Vol 1, Issue 9
Abstract
This paper introduces an artificial neural netw (GIS). Faults in GIS have to be located and classified as soon as possible to start the processes of reconfiguration and restoration of the normal power supply. A practical case study is an represents a critical generation point in the Egyptian Electric Power Network. Firstly, the layout of the Talkha 220 kV GIS is discussed and modeled using ATP/EMTP. Secondly, the ANN is built and trained. Finally, the p approach is tested using solidly grounded faults and high impedance faults. The results ensure the success of the proposed approach to locate and classify any fault in and/or out the GIS.

NETWORK PERFORMANCE MONITORING USING THRESHOLD CROSSING ALERTS
Threshold crossing alerts (TCAs) indicate to a management system that a management variable, associated with the state, performance or health of the network, has crossed a certain threshold. The timely detection o...
WEIGHT LOSS CORROSION STUDIES OF ALUMINIUM-7075 ALLOY REINFORCED WITH SILICON CARBIDE PARTICULATES COMPOSITES IN ACID CHLORIDE MEDIUM
The aim of the research work to investigate the corrosion behaviour of Silicon Carbide(SiC) reinforced aluminium 7075 metalmatrix composites (MMCs) in acid chloride solution using weight loss method. The composite...
