Anne-Baba Çocuk İlişkileri: Bir Meta-Sentez Çalışması / Parent - Child Relationships: A Meta-Synthesis Study

Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between parents and their children aged 0-6 years; In other words, to make a presentation of the analysis and synthesis of the studies which done in Turkey over the last decade about with the parental attitudes of raising children and the effects of these relations / attitudes on children . Materials and Methods: One doctoral thesis, 14 master’s thesis, 15 original researches were included in the study. The findings were obtained in these analyzes and synthesized within the framework of the meta -synthesis research method, and the meta-synthesis studies were conducted in the context of the determined themes. Results: The common aspects of all the studies involved in meta-synthesis are that the democratic parental attitudes are achieved in a way that positively affects children’s social skills and that other parental attitudes are adversely affected. Together with the studies indicating that there is a low level of relationship between behavioral problems and parental attitudes and that there is no relationship, when the sub -dimensions of the studies are examined, it is seen that the attitudes of the parents are influential on the behaviors of the children. Conclusion: Parental involvement has a significant influence on the children’s social development and behavior, and there are many variables that affect the relationship between the child and the parent.
