ANOVA OPTIMIZATION OF DRILL BIT TEMPERATURE IN DRILLING OF PURE AND CARBON BLACK REINFORCED HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE
Journal Title: Journal of Engineering Studies and Research - Year 2019, Vol 25, Issue 3
Abstract
High density polyethylene materials have many application areas in automotive, aviation, electrical and electronic etc. industries. In some applications, their mechanical properties need to be improved. For this reason, some particles such as carbon black, graphite, carbon nanotubes, carbon fibers etc. were added to the polymer matrix. Although these types of material can be manufactured in near net shape, some machining operations such as drilling need to be performed. In this study, the drill bit temperatures in drilling of pure and carbon black reinforced high density polyethylene (HDPE) were optimized by using ANOVA (analysis of variance) statistical method
INDUCED DEGRADATION OF CRUDE OIL POLLUTED SOIL BY MICROBIAL AUGMENTATION
This study was aimed at assessing the effectiveness of indigenous microbes for remediation of hydrocarbon contaminated soil by first increasing the population of the indigenous microbes via bioaugmentation. Soil samples...
DEARYLATION IN THE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN (Et3NH)HC2O4 OR (Et3NH)2C2O4 AND SnPh3Cl: INFRARED STUDY
Five new oxalato, hydrogenoxalato and hydrogenocarbonato adducts (three) and complexes (two) obtained on allowing (Et3NH)HC2O4 or (Et3NH)2C2O4 to react with SnPh3Cl have been studied by infrared spectroscopy, then discre...
NONCONVENTIONAL TECHNIQUE FOR PRODUCING HIGH MECHANICAL STRENGTH GLASS FOAM FROM GLASS WASTE
In the work experimental results on the manufacture of glass foam with high mechanical strength from glass waste are presented. By replacing the usual conventional energy source with a nonconventional energy (electromagn...

The present paper presents the results obtained regarding the evolution of stem and fiber production in monoecious hemp, under the pedoclimatic conditions of the Center of Moldova, between 2012 and 2016. The biological m...
EFFECT OF GEOPHYSICAL PARAMETERS ON ATTENUATION OF CONTAMINANT IN FRESHWATER COASTAL AQUIFERS
Freshwater coastal aquifers can be contaminated by influx of seawater. The study investigated the effect of geophysical parameter such as seepage velocity (v) determined empirically on the mass flux (J) of contaminant th...
