ANTI OXIDANT ACTIVITY BY DPPH ASSAY FROM CARICA PAPAYA AQUEOUS LEAVES EXTRACT
Journal Title: World Journal of Pharmaceutical Research - Year 2018, Vol 7, Issue 7
Abstract
Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary approach in biochemical applications and focusing on synthesis of nanoparticles having improved antioxidant properties against the degenerative diseases and cancer. It is assumed that higher antioxidant activity of nanoparticles is might be due to the preferential absorption of the antioxidant material from extract into the surface of the nanaparticles. The silver nanoparticles provide significant pharmaceutical, clinical, biological and immunological applications. In this present study antioxidant activity by DPPH assay from Carica papaya aqueous leaves extract. It reveals that 50% inhibition i.e. was IC50 was obtained 57.22 μg/ml in silver nanoparticles than aqueous extract at 75.18 μg/ml and this study proves that silver nanoparticles has radical scavenging potential than the aqueous extract this may be due to the capping agent found in aqueous extract.
