APPLICATION OF LEXICAL-SEMANTIC TRANSLATIONAL TRANSFORMATIONS AS A MEANS OF RENDERING THE SEMANTIC FEATURES OF ENGLISH ANECDOTES

Abstract
The article deals with lexical-semantic translational transformations as a means of rendering the semantic peculiarities of English anecdotes caused by the differences between the linguistic pictures of the world of the English and Ukrainian that influence the lexical-semantic structure of the compared languages. The use of differentiation, generalization, concretization and modulation as means of overcoming differences between the English and the Ukrainian languages is justified.
