Abstract
The method of maximum entropy is applied to calculations of parameters of distribution function of droplets on their sizes and speed of movement in spray which are formed on the basis of biofuel of a different chemical composition. The integral-algebraic systems of equations based on thermodynamic assumptions were solved by the numerical methods. The thermodynamic properties of diesel and biodiesel fuel and a condition of spray formation in real fuel systems of the internal combustion engines served as the input data for calculations. The quantitative information on a kind and parameters of distribution functions were obtained for the different spray formation conditions. According to the method of maximum entropy the influence of thermodynamic properties of fuel (liquid) which are sprayed, on distribution function, that describe the sizes of droplets and speed of their movements in dispersion system were analyzed. Calculations and the corresponding experimental data on spray formation for diesel fuel and its mixes with rapeseed oil are compared. It is shown that at spray formation on biofuel the system of droplets will be characterized by the big size of droplets in comparison with the size of droplets which are formed by diesel fuel spray. The obtained quantitative data on influence of thermodynamic properties of the sprayed liquid on a final condition of a spray is assigned for search of optimum conditions of spray formation on the fuel with different thermodynamic parameters.
