APPLICATION OF SELECTED SGS PARAMETERS FOR EVALUATION OF ROLLING BEARING WORKING SURFACES
Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2010, Vol 229, Issue 1
Abstract
In the article there has been presented a method of evaluation of surfaces by means of a set of selected parameters which determine geometric features of concaves, occurring in the geometric structure of rolling bearing working surfaces, especially in the final phase of their operation. Using a specialist measurement equipment Talyscan, it was defined: the volume surface, maximum and medium value of the unevenness depth or height. The results of carried out tests reveal that it is possible to observe changes that occur in the geometric structure of the tested surfaces in the process of their wear, by means of the set of the proposed parameters.

Lubrication properties of zinc di-n-alkyldithiophosphates (ZDTPs), zinc di(n-nonylphenyl)-dithiophosphate (MAP) and di(di-n-nonylphenyl) dithiophosphate (DAP) depend on the additive molecular structure and its solution c...
TRIBOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF HIGH CARBON STEELS IN AN AS-CAST STATE AND AFTER PLASTIC DEFORMATION
The aim of the study was to conduct dry sliding tests on the designed hypereutectoid steels with the controlled contents increase of carbon, chromium, and manganese. Chromium and manganese were used to balance the change...
ANALYSIS OF THE SUITABILITY OF SELECTED RESEARCH METHODS TO ASSESS THE COHESION OF A DESIGNED GREASE AND ITS ADHESIVE INTERACTIONS WITH THE STEEL SURFACE
The aim of this study was the selection of research methods and the evaluation of the suitability of the results of the investigation of interactions between a designed lubricant and the working surfaces of tribosystem s...
EVALUATION OF THE LUBRICATION EFFICIENCY OF GREASES ACCORDING TO CRITERION OF WEAR EXPERIMENTALLY DETERMINED AT VARIABLE VALUES OF MOTION PARAMETERS
The results of tribological investigations into the lubrication efficiency of greases in steel sliding pairs working in mixed friction conditions are presented. The lubrication efficiency was evaluated according to the c...
Innovative technology for fabrication of antiwear layers for forging tools
Cold forging tools are known to be exposed to extremely high loads due to the high forming stresses and the strain hardening of the workpiece material. This paper deals with the study of the influence of laser texturing...
