APPLICATIONS DE LA PHYTOREMEDIATION DANS LE TRAITEMENT DES EAUX USEES EN ALGERIE

Journal Title: Larhyss Journal - Year 2016, Vol 27, Issue 27

Abstract

The aims of this work is the collection of statistics and scientific data about the application of phytoremediation strategies in Algeria, in the processing of domestic and urban waste waters treatment, following the data provided by the following organizations: National office of Sanitation (ONA) and 3 directions areas, 5 STEP and 5 lagoons, National Coastal Commission (CNL); Ministry of Environment (MATE), 3 directions of environment (DEW) and Biological Resource Development National Center (CNDRB). The results have shown that phytoremédiation processes currently represent 56% of the wastewater treatment processes, with 60 lagoon (52% SLN, SLA 45%, 3% SFP). Regarding the biodiversity of species, the WWG basin Timacine comprises approximately 941 species, used in bioaccumulation and biodegradation of pollutants are dominates by: microscopic algae, duckweed, reeds, Nerium Oleander, Hibiscus, Canna, Papyrus, Grenadier, Rush, etc. The geographical distribution of lagoon in Algeria varies from an area to another depending on the specificities of each area.
