Abstract

The transition between pre-school and primary school age is a delicate moment in the development of the child's personality. The new environment, the new situation, new friends, new teachers and all the rest imply not only an emotional but also an intellectual challenge. That is why the child's personality must be prepared where it has reached school maturity - in kindergarten or in family environment. One of the highlights of this transition is the mathematical preparation of children whose importance is undisputed [1]. A variety of programs are used to solve math problems in kindergarten. Most of them are paid, installed on computers and presented through multimedia projectors or interactive boards. To some extent the application of free software in primary and secondary schools brings positive results both in training and economically from a financial point of view. This is typical for schools with a limited or total lack of budget for software products and services. Effective use of modern information and networking technologies to improve the quality of education is related to the creation of a new quality learning environment. It teaches students to quickly seek, find and back up information, organize it, communicate through it, share it, analyze it, and use it in the learning process. Thus, the teacher can break the way for individual expression by placing children in a rich of impulse and stimulating environment, and this is a guarantee for a successful work. [2]. Very often, students have to prepare their homework or course projects at home, on desktop or laptop computers. From the statistical analyses made over the years, it has been found that, unlike the paid software in computer rooms, the available computers at home for every fifth student are in most cases illegal. This is to some extent due to low wages of their parents in most of the small towns and villages in our country. The populated areas in which students can boast of fully-legal software installed on their computer are of really small number, especially if it is for training purposes. Of course paid software products have a wide range of options to solve a particular problem or solve any task, but freeware are also able to help them solve simple tasks without having to use all the additional functionalities of the relevant paid product. It is then that the use of a free program is justified and highly recommended because it is the most profitable, fastest and easiest. Due to this fact, the integration of such software products into the education process to some extent facilitates schools with a limited budget for legal software. In this article, we have considered free software products in the field of education and their application in schools that have the appropriate computer equipment.
