Approximation to the Mean and Variance of the Modified Moments Estimator of the Shape Parameter of Weibull Distribution
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCES IN MATHEMATICS - Year 2014, Vol 7, Issue 2
Abstract
In this paper we consider the Weibull distribution of two parameters , since has been widely used as a model in many areas of applications. Properties of the distribution are introduced . Estimation of the distribution parameters is obtained by the modified moments method. The estimator of the shape parameter has so complicated form and it is difficult to find the properties of estimator so approximation to the mean and variance of the estimator is made theoretically by utilizing Taylor series expansion up to second order derivative.

Approximation of The Lower Operator in Nonlinear Differential Games with Non-Fixed Time
Approximate properties of the lower operator in nonlinear differential games with non-fixed time are studied.
Statistical Determination Of The Constants Of The Atmospheric Refraction Formula
In the present paper an efficient algorithm based on the least squares method was developed for the determination of the constants A&B of the atmospheric refraction formula. The principles of atmospheric refraction a...
Attracting Sets Of Nonlinear Difference Equations With Time-Varying Delays
In this paper, a class of nonlinear difference equations with time-varying delays is considered. Based on a generalized discrete Halanay inequality, some sufficient conditions for the attracting set and the global a...
An iterative method for solving boundary value problems for second order differential equations
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the application of the Adomian decomposition method (ADM) for solving boundary value problems for second-order differential equations with Robin boundary conditions. We first r...
Exponential permutable semigroups
A semigroup is called a permutable semigroup if is satisfied for all congruences and of . A semigroup is called an exponential semigroup if it satisfies the identity for every integer...
