"Arab Spring" and a female issue

Abstract
The article analyzes the issues of women in the Arab countries and assesses the situation of women’s rights after the “Arab spring”. The author emphasizes the importance of the Code of Personal Status for Tunisian women adopted in 1956 and the progress of the country as a whole, notes Gulf women’s achievements in the fields of education and employment, analyzes the problems which impede the participation of women in politics.
