ARGEMONE MEXICANA LINN. HAVING MEDICINAL PROPERTY: REVIEW

Abstract

Argemone mexicana Linn. has been reported to posses anti microbial, cytotoxic, anti malarial and other pharmacological activity. The present study was found to be alkaloids, amino acids, phenolics and fatty acids are isolated by using different exaction methods of isolation and characterization use to determine. The present article reviews the pharmacological and phytochemical work done on the plant and determines a scientific base for novel study for future research to establish toxin free response of plant or its phytoconstituents.
