ARMED for the Mobile Processing War
Journal Title: Computer Reviews Journal - Year 2019, Vol 3, Issue 0
Abstract
This article offers an explanation for why the ARM computer architecture won the hearts and minds of the mobile device manufacturers when incumbents like Intel and AMD had such a huge head start and such a large economic barrier to entry. Our conclusion is that ARM had a better business model, and not a better architecture. To make up for the perception of speed issues, ARM is joining the multi-core arms race. This may soon lead to desktop domination leaving only a legacy code base and sequential programming to enable incumbents to hold on.

RLS Wiener Filter and Fixed-Point Smoother with Randomly Delayed or Uncertain Observations in Linear Discrete-Time Stochastic Systems
This paper designs the recursive least-squares (RLS) Wiener fixed-point smoother and filter from randomly delayed observed values by multiple sampling times or uncertain observations in linear discrete-time stochastic sy...
A Theoretical Overview of Mobile Networks Environment in Ecuador Prior To 5G
Many countries in the Latin American region experience the technology gap when new technologies are either developing or in testing scenarios. Telecommunications services provider must be encouraged, allowing universal a...
Robust RLS Wiener Fixed-Lag Smoother for Discrete-Time Stochastic Systems with Uncertain Parameters
This paper, by combining the robust recursive least-squares (RLS) Wiener filter and the RLS Wiener fixed-lag smoothing algorithm, proposes the robust RLS Wiener fixed-lag smoothing algorithm. In the robust estimation pro...
Evolution and Trends in the Educational Model of Distance Education in Mexico, Towards an Education 4.0
Currently, the development of increasingly sophisticated platforms to carry out Distance Education (ED) at a higher level is underway. Through the implementation of different types of emerging technologies, and with this...
A Mean Reverting Stochastic Process (MRSP) using an AR(n) Model and a Kalman Filter for Generating Intravalues for the Daily DJIA Time Series
This paper presents a model for generating intravalues of time-series. The model uses a mean reverting stochastic process (MRSP). The deterministic or mean part of the process is forecasted by an autoregressive of order...
