AS AN ORATOR ZİYÂD B. EBÎH AND “HUTBETU’L-BETR”

Abstract

Ziyâd b. Ebîh, one of the most powerful fundamentals reign the Umayyad. He came to the fore with his intelligence and imagination and strong wording. He is also known cruel personality in administration of the state. And one of the most important aspects is his ability in oratory. Especially his famous oratory is “Betrâ – Amputated” named like this because of the not begin with tahmîd and temcîd. The study describes “Hutbetu’l-Betrâ - Amputated oratory” and Ziyâd’s style in his oratory, as an orator and contents of his oratories and language features. And also his oratories were written with original language and translation for a beter understanding of these properties.
