Aspects Concerning the Dynamic Behavior of a Rotor-Foundation System
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration - Year 2011, Vol 8, Issue 2
Abstract
The paper analyses the coupled vibrations of a rotor-foundation system, when the domain of the critical angular velocity is perturbed, which can lead to the damage of the shaft, by vibration of the gear, as well as of the foundation. The phenomenon is studied by means of a two degree of freedom model, described by differential quations containing second-order terms. The analysis of the system starts from decoupled linear equations and continues by applying methods specific to the theory of the dynamic systems. The dynamic behavior is thus understood, while practical consequences can be drawn, regarding the optimal values of the parameters of the system.

Dependence of the Concrete Strength on the Duration of the Compaction by Vibration Process
The aim of the paper is to present the experimental results performed on two categories of concrete, C35/40 and C40/50, in order to highlight the evolution of their compressive strength with respect to the duration of vi...
The Waves Homogenization as a Function of the ε - Period of Oblique Gridwork
The article presents the homogenization of the wave problem after the ε - period of the gridworks structure in which the plates are oblique and the thickness of the structure is the same power with the ε - period that th...
Consideration regarding the nonlinear vibration of a mechanical system
The paper studies, from the point of view of the dynamical systems theory, the nonlinear vibrations of a single-degree-of-freedom mechanical system. The differential equation of motion is analyzed using the method of var...
