Aspects Regarding the Constitutive Equations for FEM Analysis of Advanced Metal Forming Processes
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2011, Vol 34, Issue 2
Abstract
The main aim of this paper is to review some different models, from simple to very complicated, for computing the changes in flow stress depending on the deformation conditions. Some of the models can be applied to cold forming and some) to hot and warm forming. A finite element analysis (FEA) of the dieless drawing process was undertaken. The FEA simulation was carried out using Forge3, FEA software, specifically produced for metal forming simulation. An axisymmetrical 3D geometric model of the tooling and billet was constructed for the analysis. Data obtained from the FE model included temperature, equivalent von Mises stress, equivalent strain and material deformation velocity.

The Mechanism of Phase Transformation to Obtain Zinc-Iron Coatings
Important changes in the ratio of constitutive phases take place during heating of galvanized parts due to Zn coating layer changed into Zn-Fe alloy. The work deals with a mathematical correlation between diffusion pheno...
Behavior of Some Stainless Nitrided Austenite Steel Types to Corrosion and Abrasion
By nitriding, stainless austenite steel types can become surface hardened. Hardness can be greater at more than 1000 HV005 when the composition layer made of complex nitrides is obtained and more reduced till 500 HV005 w...

Aspects of Materials Decay Under Chemical Attack from the Leachate Treatment Plant of the Tirighina Waste Landfill
Human society faces a number of major problems among which the increasingly negative consequences of environmental pollution. The high uses rate of the natural resources and the large amount of waste generated tend to tr...
Phosphate Passivation Solutions Enhanced by Chemical Additives for Treatment of the Hot Dip Galvanized Steel
To stabilize the surface of the galvanized steel it is important to apply a passivation treatment during its manufacturing. The general aim of the passivation treatment is to prevent the formation “storage stain” or “whi...
