ASPECTS REGARDING THE STUDENTS’ OPINIONS ON THE CREATIVE COMPONENT OF THE MODEL OF THE FUTURE TRAINER
Journal Title: CITIUS ALTIUS FORTIUS - JOURNAL OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT - Year 2008, Vol 2008, Issue 18
Abstract
Starting from the assumption that the students can provide us with an image on the way they have been prepared to sustain a creative didactic activity, we have unfolded a questionary based research during the university year 1999-2000, among the fourth year students. The information gathered can also reveal some existent flows inside the process of cultivating the creativity of the future Physical Education and Sport specialists. The questionary contains 11 questions and it has been applied on a lot of forty-seven students. The two answer categories, adequate and inadequate for the matter under study prove the fact that the fourth year students, who will themselves shortly have to cultivate the pupils’ creativity, are confused when it comes to organizing and unfolding the didactical creative activity and are partially conscious about the senses and aspects of this activity. The explanation for this situation may be found in the way of organizing the frame, the contents, in the attitude towards the students’ creative manifestations, rewarding them, which do not offer the possibility of forming a systemic and precise vision on the creative didactic activity. So, the students are missing the model of such an activity towards which to aspire. The fact that there are proposals referring to the creative didactic activity, even if they are less sustained by the students, demonstrates the necessity of a program of cultivating creativity. The drawbacks noticed through our research allow us to conclude that there isn’t yet a constant and conscious concern for cultivating the students’ creativity, but, at the same time, to establish some directions for optimizing the didactic process that would determine the complete creation of the psycho-pedagogical profile of the future specialist in Physical Education and Sport, a profile that must also contain the creative competence.
