Assessment of barometric efficiency of piezometer with help of DATAFLOW logger

Abstract
In wells and piezometers penetrating unconfined aquifers, the water levels are continuously changing according to the atmospheric pressure changes. By comparing the atmospheric changes, expressed in terms of a column of water, with the actual changes in the water levels observed during the pre-test period, it is possible to calculate the barometric efficiency of the aquifer. In this paper there was calculated barometric efficiency of piezometer in a Base Station of the Integrated Monitoring of the Natural Environment in Koniczynka near Toruń in Poland with help of data logger DATAFLOW SYSTEMS
