Assessment of living standards in Ukraine

Abstract
The article is devoted to the topic of the current state and standard of living, as a socio-economic phenomenon in modern society, which has many aspects. The methodological basis of research are normative and legislative acts of Ukraine, analysis of scientific publications and statistical data. Methods of research supports: a systematic approach, comparative analysis, statistical observation and comparison. The results showed that the improvement of living standards in Ukraine is impossible without the development of scientific and reasonable strategy for economic development and effective social policies. Problems of improving living standards and poverty reduction must be more literate, which will improve the standard of living, ensuring a decent life for pensioners, orphans, the disabled and socially disadvantaged groups.
