Assessment of Thermo-Mechanical Failures of Photovoltaic Module components for Improved Reliability
Journal Title: International Journal of Mechanical Engineering - Year 2019, Vol 8, Issue 4
Abstract
Although the production and utilization of photovoltaic (PV) modules continue to grow monotonically, the longterm reliability of these modules still remains a concern due to untimely failure. The breakdown of the module is induced by thermo-mechanical fatigue loading caused by temperature cycling as well as transients associated with passing clouds. This paper evaluates the failure mechanism of PV module assembly in operation with a particular focus on the assessment of the mechanics of failure of its integral components.

Effect of Nanoparticles on Performance of Magneto-Rheological Fluids in Vibration Suppression
Vibration in any working element causes undesirable effects and affects performance. So it has to be suppressed. One of the right ways to suppress the vibration is, bypassing the vibration through a fluid medium. If that...
Enhancement of Intake Generated Swirl to Enhance Lean Combustion in a Four Stroke Diesel Engine
The valves in the IC engine are primary and their design plays an important role in the inlet and exhaust strokes which help in the suction of fuel and exhaust the gases burned within the cylinder. At the starting of ind...
