ASTROCLIMATIC STATISTICS AT THE SAYAN SOLAR OBSERVATORY
Journal Title: Solar-Terrestrial Physics - Year 2020, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
The paper analyzes meteorological and optical characteristics of the atmosphere at the Sayan Solar Observatory (SSO) and the future 3 m Large Solar Telescope (LST-3). We examine spatial features of changes in astroclimatic characteristics for the Sayan Solar Observatory and Baikal Astrophysical Observatory (BAO). We have obtained a vertical profile of the structural characteristic of air refractive index fluctuations for a low intensity optical turbulence along the line of sight. This profile is an important result because it will allow us to adjust the adaptive optics system of LST-3 to the best astroclimatic conditions when the correction efficiency is maximal. In order to analyze vertical profiles of optical turbulence characteristics and to assess the contribution of individual atmospheric layers to the isoplanatic angle for a minimum level of total turbulence, we give recommendations for the design of multi-conjugated adaptive optics in general and for LST-3 in particular.

INVERSION OF BACKSCATTER IONOGRAMS INTO QUASIPARABOLIC IONOSPHERIC LAYER PARAMETERS
We present an inversion scheme of the backscatter signal leading edge into parameters of the quasi-parabolic electron density profile, which is based on the comparison of experimental and calculated minimum delays of sca...
IONOSPHERIC DISTURBANCES OVER EASTERN SIBERIA DURING APRIL 12–15, 2016 GEOMAGNETIC STORMS
We present the results of the complex study of ionospheric parameter variations during two geomagnetic storms, which occurred on April 12–15, 2016. The study is based on data from a set of radiophysical and optical instr...
Dynamics of field-aligned currents in two hemispheres during a magnetospheric storm from magnetogram inversion technique data
We continue to study the physical processes occurring during the August 17, 2001 magnetospheric storm by analyzing the dynamics of the intensity of field-aligned currents (FACs) in Iijima—Potemra Region 1 in the polar io...
ALL-ATMOSPHERE IS-MST RADAR
The IS-MST radar, as the name implies, combines two different methods for studying the atmosphere using a backscatter signal. Turbulent fluctuations of the medium cause scattering in the mesosphere—stratosphere—troposphe...
TOROIDAL MODELS OF MAGNETIC FIELD WITH TWISTED STRUCTURE
We present and discuss properties of the following magnetic field models in a magnetic cloud: Miller and Turner solution, modified Miller–Turner solution, Romashets–Vandas toroidal and integral models, and Krittinatham–R...
