Journal Title: International Journal of Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies (IJIMS) - Year 2017, Vol 4, Issue 3
Abstract
The satire Atha Kim is written by Siddheswar Chattopadhyay, based on contemporary issues. It is a one act play. The characters are symbolic here. The male characters are represented by some vowels as well as the females are represented by some consonants. Through the conversations of the characters here the author presented the pictures of political opposition, stopping of high price rising, struggle held for salary hike and the tricks followed by the politicians to be the winner in the process of election. Here we can see the presence of tradition of Sanskrit dramaturgy as well as innovation and uniqueness.
