Auction Oriented Approach for Resource Management in Grid Computing
Journal Title: International Journal of Computer Science and Management Studies (IJCSMS) www.ijcsms.com - Year 2012, Vol 12, Issue 0
Abstract
Grid computing, emerging as a new paradigm for next-generation computing, enables the sharing, selection, and aggregation of geographically distributed heterogeneous resources for solving large-scale problems in science, engineering, and commerce. The resources in the Grid are heterogeneous and geographically distributed. The paper demonstrates the capability of economicbased systems for wide-area parallel and distributed computing by using auction-oriented approach. In this paper implementation of the various auction models-English Auction, Dutch Auction, First-Price Sealed Auction, Continuous Double Auction is done. Also these models are compared.

Distributed Computing: An Emerging Paradigm for New Technologies
Terms such as ‘Distributed Computing’ have gained a lot of attention, as they are used to describe emerging paradigms for the management of information and computing resources. Distributed computing is that type of compu...
Energy Efficient, Multi-hop Routing scheme, within Network Aggregation for WSN
This paper introduces an energy efficient, multi-hop routing scheme, with in-network aggregation. The technique uses clustering as the base of our algorithm. Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) is implemented over clustering...
Operation Management of a GTPPS Based on Field Failure Data: A Case Study
Reliability analysis for Gas turbine power plant over a period of 66-month was carried out. The most important failure modes units were identified and the descriptive statistics at failure and machine level were calculat...
Specification Representation and Test Case Reduction by Analyzing the Interaction Patterns in System Model
Extended Finite State Machine uses the formal description language to model the requirement specification of the system. The system models are frequently changed because of the specification changes. We can show th...
STRENGTH DETERMINATION OF ALUMINIUM AT DIFFERENT TEMPRATURES
The necking of specimen is specifically related to the decrease in cross section when specimen is subjected to tensile strength greater than ultimate tensile strength (UTS). The strain distribution no longer hold uniform...
