Auditor Tenure and Accounting Conservatism: Testing Moderating Effect of Owner’s Importance
Journal Title: Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 4
Abstract
Conservatism is one of the salient features of financial reporting that has attracted more attention in recent years because of financial scandals. Several recent studies have focused specifically on conservatism. This research tries to investigate the effect of auditor tenure and the importance of the client's accounting conservatism by using panel data model, multivariate regression, and data of 114 companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange during the years 2011 to 2015. The results showed that there is an inverse relationship between auditor tenure and conservatism of auditees; moreover, the client’s importance has an additive effect on the inverse relationship between auditor tenure and conservatism of client.

Entropy Generation Analysis of Natural Convection in Square Enclosures with Two Isoflux Heat Sources
This study investigates entropy generation resulting from natural convective heat transfer in square enclosures with local heating of the bottom and symmetrical cooling of the sidewalls. This analysis tends to optimize h...
Physical and Mechanical Properties of the Muds of the Fergoug Dam
Volumes of dredged sediments are rather considerable and are estimated approximately 600 million m3 per year worldwide. These can represent a very interesting source of raw materials, in particular for a sector consuming...
Automating the Classification of Field Leakage Current Waveforms
Leakage current monitoring is widely employed to investigate the performance of high voltage insulators and the development of surface activity. Field measurements offer an exact view of experienced activity and insulato...
UHF PD Experiments on Real Power Transformer and its Frequency Characteristics Results
A number of methods have been used in partial discharge (PD) detection and recognition. Among these methods, ultra-high frequency (UHF) detection and recognition based on a single signal have attracted much attention. In...
Investigation of the Strength Properties of Palm Kernel Shell Ash Concrete
Many researchers have studied the use of agro-waste ashes as constituents in concrete. These agro-waste ashes are siliceous or aluminosiliceous materials that, in finely divided form and in the presence of moisture, chem...
