Autoantibodies to the platelet-derived growth factor receptor in systemic sclerosis

Abstract

This article briefly reviews the structure and function of platelet-derived growth factor and its receptor. The authors describe presence of autoantibodies against platelet-derived growth factor receptor in systemic sclerosis, and emphasize their probable influence on pathogenesis of the disease
