Automata-Based Software Reliability Paradigm for Ubiquitous Systems

Abstract

The paper proposes a novel paradigm for accurate reliability estimation of ubiquitous systems. The proposed prototype differs from all conventional software reliability models as it does not rely on any kind of post failure data, questionable assumptions or statistical distributions. The paradigm instead is based on software state to state transition at runtime. Using this state to state transition information, the model ensures fault free software operation.
