Automatic Recommendation of Web Pages in Web Usage Mining
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2010, Vol 2, Issue 9
Abstract
With the rising growth of Web users, Web-based organizations are keen to analyze the on-line browsing behavior of the users in their web site and learn (identify) their interest instantly in a session. The analysis of the user’s current interest based on the navigational behaviour may help the organizations to guide the users in their browsing activity and obtain relevant information in a shorter span of time. However, the resulting patterns obtained through data mining techniques did not perform well in predicting the future browsing patterns due to the low matching rate of the resulting rules and users’ browsing behavior. This paper focuses on recommender systems based on the user’s navigational patterns and provides suitable recommendations to cater to the current needs of the user. The experimental results performed on real usage data from a commercial web site show a significant improvement in the recommendation effectiveness of the proposed system.

Performance Comparison and Analysis of DSDV and AODV for MANET
Abstract—A Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) is a kind of wireless ad-hoc network, and is a self configuring network of mobile routers (and associated hosts) connected by wireless links – the union of which forms an arbitrar...
Design and Analysis of Fuzzy Metagraph Based Data Structures
Fuzzy metagraph is an emerging technique used in the design of many information processing systems like transaction processing systems, decision support systems, and workflow systems. Very often, even a carefully chosen...
Hamiltonian cycle and TSP: A backtracking approach
Backtracking is one of the strategies to reduce the complexity of a problem. Backtracking mainly useful when there is a no solution by going forward in that direction so we required backtracking from it to reduce the com...
Cloud Based Distributed Databases: The Future Ahead
Fault tolerant systems are necessary to be there for distributed databases for data centers or distributed databases requires having fault tolerant system due to the higher data scales supported by current data centers....
Cluster Based Message Dissemination for Broadcasting the Emergency/Warning Messages using a Novel Scheduling in VANETS
Vehicular ad hoc networks are a special case of mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). Unlike MANETs, VANET nodes are moving very fast. It becomes quite challenging to maintain a stable path for broadcasting Emergency and Warn...
