Autonomous Robot Based on Robot Operating System (ROS) for Mapping and Navigation
Journal Title: International Journal of Computer Science & Engineering Technology - Year 2015, Vol 6, Issue 7
Abstract
Mobile robotics is a research area that has witnessed incredible advances for the last decades. Within this well-studied domain of mobile robotics, our area of interest is robots that inhabit in unmodified office-like environments that are designed for and shared with people. Issues like mapping, self-localization, and autonomous navigation in an indoor environment are popular issues in the field of autonomous robots and have been deeply studied for the past few years. The presented work describes how a Robot Operating System ROS-based control system is used with a mobile robot for selflocalization, indoor mapping and autonomous navigation in an office like environment.

A Novel Approach to Recognize the off-line Handwritten Numerals using MLP and SVM Classifiers
This paper presents a new approach to off-line handwritten numeral recognition. Recognition of handwritten numerals has been one of the most challenging task in pattern recognition. Recognition of handwritten numerals po...
Cephalometric analysis for finding facial growth abnormalities
Cephalometric analysis of lateral radiographs of the head is an important diagnosis tool in orthodontics. Based on physically locating specific landmarks, it is a boring, lengthy and error prone task. The objective of th...
Secure Image Steganography Algorithm using RGB Image Format and Encryption Technique
The aim of this research is to design a steganography algorithm which not only hide the message behind the image but also provide more security than others. For the purpose of security, encryption technique is used with...
Computationally Efficient Segmentation Model for Collection of Images
A semisupervised optimization model for determining an efficient segmentation of many input images is proposed in this paper. The advantage of this model is twofold. Firstly, the segmentation is highly controllable as th...
A Mathematical Study of Fuzzy Logic Techniques in Software Engineering Measurements
