AVIATION TRAINING OF CANDIDATES FOR MILITARY PILOTS IN THE ACADEMIC CENTRE FOR AVIATION TRAINING AT THE AIR FORCE ACADEMY

Abstract
SYNOPSISThe article describes the new training process of candidates for military pilots provided at the Air Force Academy. It highlights stages and reveals its organisational specificity depending on the speciality of the jet pilot, transport aeroplane pilot and helicopter pilot. Additionally, the article describes cadet training in the “pilotage” speciality in a four-year education cycle. It also draws attention to the special role of the Academic Centre for Aviation Training in student pilot training as an institution determining a candidate’s suitability for the military pilot profession and preparing to obtain a license in accordance with civil aviation rules.
