Between the Tool and the Other: Considerations about old and new teaching resources in the school

Abstract
This text appears as a reflective essay about educational resources and processes of significance in educational relations. Based on the work of Vygotsky, the centrality of language as a means / mode of signification and the role of individuals in interaction are highlighted, considering the importance that the act of teaching has as starting point and goal of knowledge production. Reflecting on the use of textbooks, the Internet, audiovisual resources, experimentation, and scheduled visits, we emphasize that, in science education, the development of modes of operation attentive to the cultural transformations of science and technology establish increasingly rich and diverse social interactions, which are also more challenging and complex. In this view we emphasizes the revolution that the new technologies can bring to the school. Also the necessity of the reconfiguration teacher work through numerous possibilities of new forms of teaching.
